Telemetry Lifecycle

Raw payloads and normalized measurements have different lifecycles.

Raw ingestion payloads are kept for short-term troubleshooting and replay support. The default target is approximately one month.

Normalized measurements are kept for long-term product use. The default target is at least five years, with an architecture that can extend to seven or eight years.

Telemetry queries must always be bounded by time range or documented limits.
